Learning opportunity about Radon Gas.
Monday January 26, 6:30-8pm
Beaverbrook Library, 2500 Campeau Drive
At this meeting, Health Canada will present information about radon gas, which is the second-leading cause of lung cancer. Representatives from the City of Ottawa, Tarion Warranty and local radon companies will be present as well. You will learn how to test your home for radon and how to deal with it in the event that the levels are high. Radon gas is widely present in the ground throughout much of Canada. It seeps into houses through tiny openings. Some high readings have been found in homes in Kanata, so this is your opportunity to ensure that your home is safe. This session is open to residents from across the City.
